By expanding their business on the internet, Jon L. The inspiration for the business started in 1946 by Papa Jon L. Stopay, who created a recipe for a scrumptious confection consisting of a melt-in-your-mouth peanut butter center covered in rich milk chocolate. News of this delectable candy spread quickly throughout the area, which led Papa Jon to open his first candy store in Edwardsville, PA. Over time, the business grew in popularity and expanded into a larger store and showroom in Plains. Since opening in December of 2010, the online store has noticed positive results throughout the holiday season and anticipates continued growth through the Valentine’s Day and Easter holidays.
